Our Story

In the beginning of 2006, we – Lotta and Paul, both from Sweden –  came to Hermanus for the first time. Immediately, we fell in love with the quaint little costal town and its beautiful cliff paths. We felt that this place would be a great escape from the cold weather in Sweden. As it turned out, on the third day here, we bought our house on 10 Westcliff Road.

As we started to renovate the house, we realized that – with its proximity to the city centre but still close to the cliff paths – it actually was in an ideal position for a small hotel.

After the renovations and some approvals, in 2008 we were able to convert the house into a guest house.

Today guests from all over the world are visiting Beluga House. Many of them return time after time, which of course makes us very proud.  That’s the best praise we can get!
